척박한 제주 중산간 땅에서 오랜 시간 정성으로 일궈낸 보롬왓의 자연은 이제 또 하나의 산물이 되어, 제주와 자연을 깊이 경험하게 하는 가치를 전하고 있다. 10년이 훌쩍 넘은 시간 동안 보롬왓은 메밀, 튤립, 수국 등 농작물을 바탕으로 라이프스타일 제품부터 다양한 식재료와 차, 카카오에 이르기까지 경계를 넘나드는 새로운 시도를 이어왔다.
보롬왓 어메니티의 패키지는 이러한 자연과 농업의 가치, 그리고 정성스레 길러낸 자연의 산물과 그 힘을 담아내는 디자인이어야 했다. 우리는 자연 추출물이 지닌 다양한 기능적 성분과 보롬왓 들판을 떠올리게 하는 은은한 향을 강조하는 담백한 디자인을 목표로 했다.
제주의 자연과 조화를 이루는 절제된 컬러, 시각적 안정감을 주는 세리프 서체, 자연을 닮은 은은한 패턴을 사용해 기본 패키지를 구성했다. 또한 환경을 생각하는 마음으로 일회용 종이 패키지를 지양하고, 오래도록 사용할 수 있는 원단 파우치를 선택해 쓰레기를 최소화하고자 했다.
보롬왓을 통해 느껴지는 자연의 위대함과 고마움이 어메니티 제품과 디자인을 통해 다시 한 번 전해지길 바란다. 사용자의 일상 속에서 이 의미가 천천히 스며들며, 앞으로 보롬왓이 만들어갈 더 좋은 이야기와 제품을 기대하게 되기를 바란다.
The nature of Boromwat, cultivated with care over many years on the rugged mid-mountain fields of Jeju, has become a creation in itself—an experience that allows people to encounter Jeju and its landscape in a deeply genuine way. For more than a decade, Boromwat has crossed boundaries by crafting a wide range of products, from lifestyle goods made with buckwheat, tulips, and hydrangeas to various ingredients and teas inspired by the land.
The packaging for Boromwat’s amenities needed to express the value of its nature and agriculture—an honest design that conveys the power and purity of what is grown with such dedication. We aimed for a clean, restrained design that highlights the natural extracts and their functions, as well as the gentle, field-like scents reminiscent of the Boromwat landscape.
With colors that harmonize with Jeju’s nature, a serif typeface that brings visual calm, and soft, nature-inspired patterns, we created the foundation of the packaging design. To reflect our commitment to sustainability, we chose not to use disposable paper packaging and instead designed a fabric pouch that can be used again and again, reducing waste.
We hope that the greatness and gratitude felt through Boromwat’s nature will be experienced once more through these amenities and their design. And as they become part of everyday life, may they allow users to rediscover their meaning over time—and look forward to the new stories and products Boromwat will continue to create.
